Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is back with a bang. Having faced a downfall in his career a few years ago, he made a smashing comeback by portraying grey-shade characters. He is currently basking in the love and adoration shared by his fans for his portrayal of Abrar, a mute cousin of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ranvijay Singh Balbir, in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. He had revealed in a previous interview about his iconic breakdown scene in the movie upon hearing about his younger brother’s death. Now, he has shared that he thought about his family while getting in the right mind frame for the character.

During an interaction on The Film Companion Actors’ Adda, the 54-year-old actor opened up about the fact that he was only able to essay the character of Abrar perfectly after picturing his family in the plot of the film. Stating that Deols are emotional people, he added that he has felt the pain which can drive someone nuts. In the same interview, he also revealed that he had started feeling disgusted and ‘icky’ when he started shooting for the movie. ALSO READ: WHAT? Quoted by BollywoodShaadis, the Aashram actor said, “When I was doing this film and when I was told the story, I didn’t think I was a villain. I was told that I had a grandfather who committed suicide in front of me and it was such a big shock that I lost my voice. I kept that in my mind. And I thought about my family. The Deols are such emotional people. But we will do anything for each other. I am 54. I have seen so much in my life. I have felt pain and I have felt happiness. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. Released on 1 December 2023. the movie has garnered a lot of mixed chatter because of its toxic and ignorant dialogues and plotline. The movie has become one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023 in Bollywood.
